I'm a dedicated low carber with a new pressure cooker so I was happy to see this book offered for free for my Kindle.

Imagine my trepidation when I found that, not only were most of the recipes high protein, but the majority of them contained items that are by no stretch of the imagination low carb. Such items as oatmeal, tortilla chips, dried beans, lentils, English muffins, canned mushroom soup, ketchup, bottled barbeque sauce, honey, Guinness, and some even suggested to serve the meat portion of the dish over polenta, pasta or rice.

Author, low carb eating isn't just about the carb count per serving in a dish. It's about not eating items such as those listed above. It's knowing that low carb eating, correctly done, is high fat eating. Many of us are diabetics and the high protein offerings in your book will drive our blood glucose readings as high as if we just ate the polenta, pasta or rice. And please, no industrial oils like canola oil, vegetable oil or corn oil - they are lethal.

I'm very disappointed in this book. Author, perhaps if you would study and learn about true low carb eating, you could rework this book to make it a truly low carb pressure cooker cookbook.
